Are You Doing Too Much?👀
The week has yet again, gotten away from me. I mean, how is it Wednesday already?? Like, didn’t we just celebrate Easter? You’re telling me that was almost two weeks ago? Wowza!😬 April is really moving like she has other important things to do and we’re just wasting her time.
Anyway, it is 3.43 a.m Wednesday morning and I am here, writing. I have just come from a four-hour Youtube video editing sprint. Before that, I was in a beginner UI/UX design class for about an hour, and for eight long hours before that, I was paying my “ode to capitalism”, also known in other circles as, work.
I think I’m doing too much at once. Too many things requiring my attention, too many ideas running through my mind at a time, too many skills I’m trying to learn, and probably too too eager to make an extra buck and start living in one of those Selling Sunset houses.
Too much!
Which is ironic because just last Saturday I made a promise (to myself) that I would focus on only one thing at a time.😂 The premise of this promise (oooh! that sounds so sweet to say), was a video that popped up on my YouTube home page a couple of days ago, talking about “The Theory of Half-Dug Holes”. Now I would go into the details and explain exactly what it means, but as I said, it’s…3.54 a.m now, and my body is begging me to drop everything and shut my eyelids. So I’m just going to link it here for you. I promise, if you’re struggling with the “I-Have-So-Many-Creative-Ideas-With-Zero-To-Little-Takeoff-But-I-Don’t-Want-To-Drop-Any-Of-Them” syndrome like me, this video will change your life and give you much-needed clarity!
Judging by this, we can all agree that while the Youtube algorithm mostly wears us out with recommending the same seven videos over and over and over and over AND OVER, once in a while, they get it right.
So, watch this video and then promise yourself that you will no longer have many half-dug holes! Yeah?😁
And now…
